Our intention is to partner with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to give the people running economic development a clearer read on what's already happening in the state — where activity concentrates, what industries are visibly forming, and what out-of-state companies are bringing to Indiana.

Indiana's economy mapped county by county: workforce, sectors, public/private mix, infrastructure, and the patterns that show where the state already runs hot vs. where the gaps are. The atlas IEDC and the legislature can both work from.

Real estate is the largest visible vertical (22% of classified), followed by construction (5%), financial services (4.8%), and healthcare (3.6%).
